![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What this does is gives you broad and repeatable movements, much less twitchy, easier to develop muscle memory, and also great for nerves. I limit the rotation down to 50 degrees and my wheel physically adjusts and locks the rotation just using the force feedback somehow? Not sure but it's like magic. That being said, I've got an F1 style wheel, and gripping the sides of it and steering really feels like leaning in the motorcycle. First off, I'll say the standard Xbox controller is very very good, it's been hard to beat even though I knew I wanted to go with the wheel. I use a steering wheel and Fanatec pedals. I'm so glad you asked this, because I have a highly unusual setup that I've been having great success with. It's easier to simulate a car but a bike is so complicated. Due to the very nature of motorcycles I personally believe a video game will never really capture the exact feeling of a bike, well unless you use a full on hydraulic setup ( ). I also feel it's worth mentioning motorcycle racing games are a niche. They are talking big and claiming to be super accurate, but only time will tell. Coming this year but no gameplay trailer yet. Rims Racing ( ), this is the newest kid on the block. Looks a bit janky but the mechanics of riding is meant to be good. Is still in development and I'm not sure on release date. Claims to focus on bike handling over everything else. Don't know if there has been any development in years. ![]() GPBikes ( ), I have never played it and I think it's a passion project. There are a few games which claim to be a bike sim: Now in regards to realism, I think MotoGP is better at capturing the feel of a bike. I couldn't find the layout online so I just took a quick screenshot of my control layout, here: I think I have changed a few face buttons like the rear brake, but pretty stock config. Literally just plug the controller in and start playing, the game even shows the xbox controller prompts when it detects you are using it. In regards to the controller, many modern PC games already have a config ready to go for the xbox controller. But from what I recall I have the best control and feedback of the bikes in Ride 4. I like 4 the most but that could be because I am currently really enjoying it and haven't touched the others in quite some time. Honestly all of the Ride series is pretty simcade-y. Game encourages you to upgrade all of the bikes you unlock to win the event as you get given money generously. For some background, I've played every Ride game and a decent bunch of the MotoGP's since ~2016 along with both Isle of Man TT games. Controller works very well, bluetooth XB1 controller worked straight away, full controller remapping works perfectly. The core gameplay, sounds, graphics are better than ride 2 and am enjoying the career progression so far however was expecting a bit more from the customization - it seems hardly improved on over ride 2. I don't see why you'd pay £40 off steam but at £20 off cdkeys it's a steal. I don't see why you'd pay £40 off steam I only have 4 hours of gameplay so far but if you're a fan of motorcycles and ride 2 you'll like this.
